The RTA works with two main committees. They help guide transportation planning and check progress on voter-approved projects. Both the Technical Management Committee (TMC) and the Citizens Accountability for Regional Transportation (CART) Committee report to the RTA Board.
RTA Citizens Accountability for Regional Transportation (CART) Committee
The CART Committee is a citizen oversight committee watching over the voter-approved RTA plans. It checks that projects are on track and that money is being managed well.
The CART Committee meets four times a year. All meetings are open to the public and shown live on YouTube.
RTA Technical Management Committee (TMC)
The TMC gives technical advice on the RTA plans. Members come from local governments and the private sector. They review how projects are going and offer guidance when needed.
The TMC meets quarterly or as scheduled.
