Webmaster Note: This could be part of the Get Involved page?
During development of the Regional Transportation Authority’s $2.67 billion regional transportation plan, the public participated in numerous ways. Citizens participated on a citizens’ advisory committee charged with developing a draft plan for RTA Board consideration. The public also provided feedback on the draft plan at open houses and via a public survey. Your input is valuable to the RTA since the voter-approved plan is funded with taxpayer dollars. RTA meetings are open to the public, public comments may be submitted only or you can sign up here to receive RTA news and updates and learn about upcoming public involvement opportunities. Visit the RTA’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or YouTuber for additional information.
The RTA was established on a foundation of accountability and transparency. Public input was a vital part of the original 2006 20-year regional transportation plan and that feedback continued when the 2026 plan was put together and approved by voters. The public is encouraged to continue to provide feedback as the plan is implemented.

RTA Presentations
Pima County voters recently approved a $2.67 billion regional transportation plan for the next 20 years. The Regional Transportation Authority is interested in keeping the public informed of plan delivery activities, including project implementation, transit services, and financial status and management of the RTA’s taxpayer funding. The 20-year plan will be implemented during four, five-year phases. In addition to learning about the regional transportation plan, your group also can learn more about how the RTA investment benefits the regional economic vitality. Upon request, the RTA will provide a speaker for your group. Here is a sneak preview of the RTA Plan presentation.
